{"id":330261,"date":"2026-05-26T14:18:27","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T14:18:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clevescene.com\/?p=330261"},"modified":"2026-05-26T14:23:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-26T14:23:28","slug":"aria-wine-bar-opening-in-little-italy-in-mid-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clevescene.com\/food-drink\/aria-wine-bar-opening-in-little-italy-in-mid-july\/","title":{"rendered":"Aria Wine Bar Opening in Little Italy in Mid-July"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFriends have been pestering me for years about opening my own wine bar,\u201d says Sarah Halko, a level-two sommelier. \u201cI love wine and I love this industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Come July, Halko will do just that when she opens the doors to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/aria_cle\/\">Aria Wine Bar<\/a> (12304 Mayfield Rd.) in Little Italy. The relatively new space in the La Collina building has been home to two wine bars in its brief existence. Halko plans to be a part of the community for much longer, she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI sat on the idea for years because I hadn\u2019t found a space that I felt resonated or had great energy,\u201d she explains. \u201cI wanted to be part of a really nice community and I felt that what Little Italy has is something that I would love to be a part of.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Halko is giving the space a refresh in anticipation of a mid-July opening. She is working with an importer to assemble a one-of-a-kind selection of wines that is designed to expand one\u2019s appreciation of varietals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe menu is really, really stunning, featuring predominantly Italian wines, but also some good global representation as well,\u201d Halko adds. \u201cI\u2019m going to keep it really tight and curated.
